I am so excited. I laid in bed at about 4 a.m. with sudden thoughts toward AM5, Darke's story. Yes! Out of nowhere, the heroine pops into my head, and I start seeing into who she is, what she's dealing with.
I wrote out a little of the synopsis for the opening, and I have to flesh out some things, but essentially she was a simple human on Earth who fell victim to the Lycarn's experiments. She had been held in the same building as Draco and Ryuu. In the opening of the book, she escapes and kills the Lycarn chasing her. The Lycarn want to put her to death for killing one of their own, but the humans long for a return to civility. They insist on putting our heroine on trial.
A character from a previous book returns as her defender, and somehow gets her off. I say a character, because I can't remember what I may have done to the one I've chosen. I have to go back and look. I hope I can use this person, because of what will happen later.
I wish I can tell more, but I can't until it's all flushed out. Just know that the heroine is no longer fully human. And of course she'll eventually join up with Darke and Harmony on their quest. Did I mention previously what happened with them? I'm not sure, so I'll leave it at that. I know it's in AM4 which is with my editor right now. Yay!
Oh yes, also in this installment is the return of the golden dragons. I'm not sure if this whole situation will be resolved at this point, because I'm wanting a sixth book to balance this all. I need another dragon. I'll have to hunt one up.
Anyway, keep a look out on what's happening. Soon I'll post some hot monkey sex on this blog.
